Because cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children and because cancer rates among children are rising, please join us to raise $25,000 to support families AND find a cure to this devastating disease.

Joining the Mamathon is a simple way for you to help. All you have to do is:

1) Create your own page
2) Pick 3 things that you are going to commit to change.
3) Send and email to friends and family and watch your efforts make a difference

While attending Mamas Night Out, you got to hear first hand from Libby Kranz & Jennifer Watson what pediatric cancer means to their families. They did a great job of empowering all the women in attendance with knowledge about the realities of what a family needs when a child has cancer and the shocking statistics about the lack of funding that pediatric cancer gets.

NOW, it is our turn to take what we have learned and engage our communities in making a difference. Let's show the mamas who continue to hear the devastating words, "Your child has cancer", that we are all in this together.

Remember that feeling when you are so moved by something that you have learned about and you vow to get involved to make a difference? Your intentions are great, your heart is in the right place and for a few days you have big plans. Then, the reality of life gets in the way and you can barely get the laundry done, let alone commit to hosting a bake sale, running a marathon or walking a 5k.

You know what we CAN do though, we can commit to spreading the stories we hear about pediatric cancer and the facts that too many people ignore. We can vow to make a difference and get people to donate in exchange for making some positive changes in our life. We can vow to be better women, better mamas and better friends.

All you have to do is ask your family and friends to donate to the cause that you care so passionately about and commit to some positive changes.

You can commit to having a dance party with our kids every Friday night. You can promise to put your phone down and engage in more meaningful conversations with our kids. You can work on not sweating the small stuff and try really hard not to freak out when your kids color on the walls.

There are many great organizations raising money for pediatric cancer, and through “Mamathon” you can choose one that speaks to you. You can help fund the care piece, the cure piece, or both. Through Mamathon, you can choose which of the following organizations you want to raise funds for:

Cookies For Kids' Cancer
Cookies for Kids' Cancer is committed to raising funds for research to develop new, improved treatments for pediatric cancer, the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. We provide inspiration and support for individuals, businesses and organizations to raise funds by hosting local events.

Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Services
Jacob’s Heart exists to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and support their families in the challenges they face. Since 1998, they have served more than 500 families who have heard the devastating words, “your child has cancer.”
